Athletic Trainer Job Description
Our athletic trainers are integral members of our team of care providers at any musculoskeletal outpatient physician practice. They work within their scope of practice as outlined by the Physical, Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board of the State of Ohio.
Athletic Trainer Job Responsibilities:

Works under the general supervision of the physicians and physician assistants and directly report to the clinic management.

Act as a member of the patient care team in the outpatient clinic.

Manage the daily clinic flow; triage patients, assist during in-office procedures, obtain and process laboratory samples and specimens, and perform phlebotomy.

Provide bracing and casting in the outpatient clinic environment and instruction on rehabilitation programs.

To continue our high level of care, we ask all athletic trainers to have the following:

Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers (Athletic Training Certification -ATC.) and Licensure by the State of Ohio Occupational, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board.

Two to three years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine facility is preferred.

Previous experience working with athletic populations is required as well as a current BLS-HCW certification.
